WatermarkResponseModel gains ImageSource so a client can identify
logo-driven presets generically instead of matching a user-editable name.
Additive under the frozen-additive /api/v1 contract (#286).
Adding a positional record parameter is source-breaking for existing
constructor call sites, so the two test files that built the DTO
positionally are updated. WatermarkHandlerTests now seeds its two rows with
DIFFERENT image sources so the round-trip assertion proves the field is
actually carried through the mapper rather than matching a constant on both.
Regenerated v1.json, endpoint-index.md and v1.d.ts; check:api clean.
Stripped the inherited UTF-8 BOM from Mapper.cs (#311 fix-as-you-touch).

The guide/EPG grid (/app/guide) and the channels list (/app/channels) always
drew the generated initials "bug" because the browse DTOs never carried a logo
URL — GuideScreen/ChannelsScreen rendered <ChannelLogo> with no src. The logo
data existed (it round-trips through the channel editor) but never reached these
views.
Add a rooted, directly-usable Logo URL to ChannelGuideChannelResponseModel and
ChannelResponseModel, populated by a single Channels.Mapper.GetLogoUrl helper
(#181 artwork convention): /iptv/logos/{file} for an uploaded logo, the absolute
URL passed through for an external one, null when unset so the SPA keeps its
generated-initials fallback. The guide query now includes Channel.Artwork.
Regenerated OpenAPI + v1.d.ts; updated api-conventions.md + domain-model.md.

The all-items endpoint fired ten index searches with limit:0 (every hit), so a
broad authenticated query materialized the whole index into one response. Add
optional pageNum/pageSize (clamped 1..1000; pageNum 0..2_000_000 so skip can't
overflow int) and an additive per-kind Totals on the response; the SPA add-all
flow now pages to completeness instead of a single unbounded fetch.
- SearchController.SearchAllItems: clamp params (Logs §1 precedent), map Totals
- QuerySearchIndexAllItemsHandler: skip=pageNum*pageSize, limit=pageSize, read
SearchResult.TotalCount per kind
- SearchResultAllItemsResponseModel: additive Totals (frozen-v1-safe)
- web/src/api/search.ts: getSearchAllItems paging params + getAllSearchItemIds
(pages until each kind hits its total; empty-page safety break)
- tests: controller clamp/thread/totals, handler skip/limit/totals, SPA paging
- docs: decisions.md 2026-07-18 (#293), api-conventions.md §5; regenerated OpenAPI
Design: issue option (a) full pagination, operator-confirmed.

Make the ~14 health checks actionable: each check that has a fix now declares
where to go, and the SPA acts on it.
Backend:
- Widen domain HealthCheckLink (string Link) -> (string Target, HealthCheckLinkKind
Kind) with ExternalDoc|AppRoute + factories; only the 4 link-building checks and
the API mapper touched .Link.
- Evolve HealthCheckResponseModel additively (/api/v1 frozen-additive): keep
deprecated string? Link (still populated), add Brief (the BriefMessage the mapper
was silently dropping) and nested Remediation {Kind, Target}. Kind is a mapped
string, not a wire enum.
- Make Mapper.GetStatus total: NotApplicable no longer throws (defensive; handler
still filters it). InternalsVisibleTo(ErsatzTV.Tests) added to unit-test totality.
- Fix 2 stale Blazor route links (media/trash -> /app/trash, search?query ->
/app/search); add AppRoute remediation to actionable checks that had none
(libraries / schedules / ffmpeg-profiles / settings).
SPA:
- DashboardScreen health panel renders remediation: AppRoute -> client-side nav
button, ExternalDoc -> new-tab anchor; detail text truncates with title-hover.
- Remove the dead "Open Classic UI" -> /system/health row from SettingsScreen
(a #91b leftover that just 302'd to /app); update its regression test.
Docs: decisions.md (#164), api-conventions.md (deprecate-in-place DTO evolution),
blazor-route-parity.md (Section 4 correction); v1.json/v1.d.ts/endpoint-index
regenerated.

Without this the weight is only reachable by editing the database, so the
enumerator has nothing to distribute by.
Weight is threaded through create and update (all four handler branches: add and
update, plain and smart) and defaults to 1, so it is optional on the wire and
/api/v1 stays additive under the freeze.
It is returned on the read path too, which is load-bearing rather than symmetry:
the update replaces the item list, so a client that GETs, edits a name, and PUTs
back would silently reset every weight to the default if the GET didn't carry it.
Weight edits ride the existing MultiCollection Version token, so If-Match/412
concurrency needs no new design.
Regenerated v1.json + v1.d.ts + endpoint-index via update-openapi.sh and
generate:api (never hand-edited). The spec picks up weight on both request and
response models and WeightedShuffle in the PlaybackOrder enum; weight is emitted
optional.

CI's "Formatting (changed .cs conform to .editorconfig)" job failed with
`error CHARSET: Fix file encoding` on all six pre-existing BOM'd files this PR
touches. The #311 gate is fix-as-you-touch: any .cs a PR touches must conform to
.editorconfig (charset=utf-8), and these carried BOMs inherited from upstream.
BOM removal only — six files, one line each, zero content change. The three
files already without a BOM (GetChannelByIdForApiHandler + both new/changed
Tests files) needed nothing.
Note for the next person: this cannot be validated locally on this Mac —
`dotnet format --include` silently no-ops here, so the gate is only observable
in CI. Check `head -c3 <file> | xxd -p` for `efbbbf` on every touched .cs before
pushing instead of trusting a local format run.

The channels API could not answer "will this channel play?", which #72 needs
to flag a broken channel in the lineup at a glance.
Two defects, one root cause each:
1. `ChannelRepository.GetChannel` never included `Playouts`. The read is
AsNoTracking with no lazy-loading proxies, so the navigation came back
empty and `GetChannelByIdForApiHandler`'s `channel.Playouts?.Count ?? 0`
could only ever evaluate to 0 — `GET /api/v1/channels/{id}` reported
`playoutCount: 0` for every channel on the system. That silently disabled
the channel editor's playout-source guard (ChannelEditScreen:820, gated on
`playoutCount > 0`), so the "Cannot be changed once a generated channel has
a playout" control was always live. The server still enforces the invariant
(UpdateChannelHandler coerces Mirror back to Generated), so nothing was
corrupted — but the user's change was silently discarded. That silent
coercion is filed separately as #401.
2. The detail path counted only the channel's own playouts, never the mirror
source's, so a working Mirror channel would read as "no playout" even once
the include landed.
Both call sites now share `Mapper.GetPlayoutsCount` (previously private to
GetAllChannelsHandler), which handles the Mirror case. `ChannelResponseModel`
gains `PlayoutCount` so the list — #72's actual surface — can render it; the
count is free there, since `GetAll` already includes `Playouts` and
`MirrorSourceChannel.Playouts` and simply discarded them.
Tests run the real repository against a real context on purpose: a handler
test with a substituted IChannelRepository populates `Playouts` itself, so it
passes whether or not the query includes them. Proven non-vacuous — removing
the include again turns the 2-playout and mirror cases red (0 CS errors, so
no stale-dll false pass).

Task 3 of ersatztv#71 (reshuffle-playout). Appends Seed as the last
positional field on PlayoutNameViewModel, threading it through the
Mapper list projection, GetPlayoutByIdHandler detail projection, and
the four Update*PlayoutHandler VM constructions, then exposing it on
PlayoutListItemResponseModel/PlayoutResponseModel via the controller's
ToResponse/ToListItemResponse mappers.
ChannelControllerTests.MakePlayout was an additional construction site
not listed in the task brief (positional-record break); updated to
append 0 for Seed alongside the brief's ErsatzTV.Tests changes.

ErsatzTV built every absolute M3U/XMLTV URL from the incoming request's
Scheme/Host/PathBase, so a client fetching via a host that downstream
consumers can't resolve (e.g. Dispatcharr over Docker DNS → Kodi) baked
that internal host into programme-image/stream URLs.
Add an optional advertised IPTV base URL, backed by the existing
ConfigElement key/value store (key `iptv.base_url`, no EF migration):
- Central pure Core helper `AdvertisedBaseUrl` (TryParse/Resolve):
validates absolute http(s), no credentials/query/fragment, preserves
port + path prefix, normalizes trailing slash. Blank/invalid falls
back to the request-derived values, so unset output is byte-identical.
- Resolved inside `GetChannelPlaylistHandler` (M3U guide/logo/stream) and
`GetChannelGuideHandler` (both XMLTV {RequestBase} sites) — controllers
stay thin, golden tests untouched.
- New `iptv` settings group: GET/PUT /api/v1/settings/iptv (blank clears,
malformed → 422) + a new IPTV section on the SPA Settings screen.
- Scoped to M3U + XMLTV; HDHomeRun deliberately out of scope. Distinct
from ETV_BASE_URL (which only sets ASP.NET PathBase).
Tests: AdvertisedBaseUrl unit tests (override/fallback/port/path/invalid),
handler override tests for both generators, settings controller + handler
tests, SPA client + screen tests. Docs: m3u-xmltv, decisions, domain-model,
regenerated OpenAPI v1.json + v1.d.ts + endpoint-index.

Version every /api route to /api/v1 (251 controller routes + ~24 Location
headers + the scanner callback URL + the Startup request-log literal),
uniform across the machine API, auth, scanner and scripted-build surfaces.
Add ApiVersionRewriteMiddleware: a legacy unversioned /api/* request is
rewritten (NOT redirected) to /api/v1/* in-pipeline — method, body, auth
headers and query survive — carrying RFC 8594 Deprecation/Sunset headers,
so curl / the future MCP server / bookmarks keep working. An already-
versioned path passes through; a future /api/v2 is never forced to v1.
Standardize the route convention (leading-slash absolute route per method,
no class-[Route] — except the two Scanner/Scripted controllers whose ~all
actions share a parametrized {id} prefix), enforced by ApiRouteVersioningTests
(^/api/v\d+/ over the whole Controllers.Api surface; browser-nav
/auth/oidc/login is out of scope).
Regenerate v1.json (160 paths, all /api/v1)/endpoint-index/v1.d.ts; sweep 945
SPA request literals + the test mocks (regex + positional URL parsers). /api/v1
is additive-only after freeze; the legacy-rewrite shim sunsets in ~2 releases
(owner decision) with removal tracked as a Phase-3 follow-up.

Add GET /api/media-sources/collections-scan-status (MediaSourcesController →
GetCollectionsScanStatus handler) reporting which media-source families
(plex/jellyfin/emby) currently hold their external-collections scan lock,
reading IEntityLocker.Are{X}CollectionsLocked(). The lock is family-global
(no source id) and boolean (no percent), so the DTO carries just {family} and
returns only active families — the counterpart to GET /api/libraries/scan-status.
SPA: useCollectionsScan now polls this endpoint and reconciles optimistic
pending against the active-family set (seeding on mount so an in-progress scan
disables buttons immediately), using the same grace-tick helper as library
scans (now generic over the pending key type). Drops COLLECTIONS_PENDING_TIMEOUT_MS
— a long deep scan no longer re-enables the button early, and a fast scan no
longer wedges it disabled for the full timeout. A row shows Scanning when its
family is active or it has an in-grace optimistic pending key.
Tests: handler (3), controller route+delegation (2), SPA api fn + hook reconcile
(mount-seed / 202-promote / 409-keeps-disabled / 404-error). OpenAPI + TS types
regenerated. Docs: api-conventions §3b, blazor-route-parity §5, decisions.md.
Unblocks #91b (arc item 4): Libraries.razor's collections-scan affordance now
has full authoritative parity.

Mint ChannelDetailResponseModel (faithful detail DTO exposing the raw editable
field set the channel editor reads: raw FFmpegProfileId/WatermarkId/FallbackFillerId
ids, the mode enums, logo, playoutCount, id) and route GetById/Create/Update through
it, replacing the lean list ChannelResponseModel that resolved the profile to a name
and dropped the editable ids (a functional regression for draftFromChannel). The lean
ChannelResponseModel stays unchanged for GET /api/channels. webEncodedName dropped
(SPA never reads it). Logo is mirrored as a Core ChannelLogoResponseModel since the
Application ArtworkContentTypeModel can't be referenced from Core.
Repoint the hand-written SPA client aliases now that the VMs are gone from the schema:
Channel -> ChannelDetailResponseModel, MediaCollection/SmartCollection -> *ResponseModel,
ProgramSchedule -> ProgramScheduleResponseModel. Fix#288 honest-nullability test fallout
in search.test.ts (null -> [] for now-non-null id arrays). Include the already-on-disk
playouts.ts WithDayNames removal and regenerate v1.json + v1.d.ts + endpoint-index.md
(authoritative final regen; the reset endpoint's {channelNumber}->{id} re-key surfaces
in the generated docs and the OpenApi error-contract test).

Slice C of the async-op contract normalization:
- channel reset (POST /api/channels/{channelNumber}/playout/reset) now
returns 202 Accepted (was 200 Ok) — it only queues a background rebuild
- reset-all (POST /api/playouts/reset-all) still 202 but now returns a
ResetAllPlayoutsResponseModel body reporting QueuedPlayoutIds /
SkippedLocked / SkippedUnsupported instead of silently swallowing skips;
handler returns a new ResetAllPlayoutsResult record
- single-playout GET (GET /api/playouts/{id}) now exposes IsLocked on
PlayoutResponseModel, set from IEntityLocker.IsPlayoutLocked mirroring
the list projection — gives a polling client the lock flag
Tests: channel reset asserts 202; reset-all asserts 202 + skipped-body
shape; single GET asserts IsLocked; new ResetAllPlayoutsHandlerTests
(in-memory SQLite) asserts locked/ExternalJson/None land in skipped lists
and eligible playouts in queued. docs/api-conventions.md §3a updated.

Response DTOs (ErsatzTV.Core/Api/MediaSources) and request DTOs
(ErsatzTV/Controllers/Api/Requests) per the #202 design doc §B — the
shared shapes that backend slices S1 (local libraries), S2 (Plex), and
S3 (Jellyfin/Emby) will consume. No controllers or handler changes;
DTOs are unused so far.
Notable: RemoteConnectionResponseModel deliberately never carries the
raw API key (secure connection contract); SaveRemoteConnectionRequest's
To{Jellyfin,Emby}Command(existingApiKey) retains the existing key when
the incoming ApiKey is blank/omitted.
No conventions changed; nothing to update in docs/api-conventions.md.
Task A (#126): new non-polymorphic ScheduleItemResponseModel /
ScheduleItemsResponseModel in Core/Api/Scheduling, plus shared
NamedIdResponseModel. ScheduleItemResponseMapper flattens the
One/Flood/Multiple/Duration VM hierarchy. ScheduleController GET/POST/PUT
items now return the flat DTOs.
Task B: GET /api/languages (LanguagesController + LanguageCodeResponseModel);
GET /api/channels/music-video-credits-templates and
GET /api/channels/stream-selectors; FillerKind added to
FillerPresetResponseModel with optional ?fillerKind= filter on
GET /api/filler-presets.

Blazor disabled per-playout Reset/Erase/Delete/Edit while a BuildPlayout was
in flight (EntityLocker.IsPlayoutLocked); the REST API had no equivalent, so a
client could race an in-flight build with a destructive ExecuteDelete and leave
a half-built playout. After Blazor removal this safety invariant would vanish
entirely (adversarial-reviewer#18 removal gate).
Server:
- Add public ApiResults.ConflictProblem(title, detail) (409, mirrors NotFoundProblem).
- Inject IEntityLocker into PlayoutController; guard every id-keyed mutation
(PUT {id}, PUT .../deco, PUT .../alternate-schedules, PUT .../templates,
POST .../erase-items, POST .../erase-items-and-history, DELETE {id}) → 409
when IsPlayoutLocked(id); add [ProducesResponseType(...409)] to each.
- Guard ChannelController.ResetPlayout the same way after resolving the id.
- reset-all stays 202 (ResetAllPlayoutsHandler already skips locked playouts).
- Stamp IsLocked onto PlayoutListItemResponseModel from IsPlayoutLocked.
SPA:
- Disable Reset/Erase/Erase-and-history/Delete for a locked row + show a
"Building…" Badge; on a 409 surface the error and refresh the list.
Tests: controller-level 409 guard tests (delete/erase/PUT/deco/channel-reset)
+ IsLocked projection test; new OpenAPI contract + metadata 409 rows.

Episode cards in the SPA search and media-browse screens were inert (mediaDetailPath had no
Episode case, and LibraryBrowseItemResponseModel carried no parent-season id to route with).
- API: add nullable SeasonId to LibraryBrowseItemResponseModel; populate it in
LibraryBrowseItemMapper.GetEpisodes (the single shared hydration site used by both the
library-browse search/browse handler and the season episode drill-in), leave it null for
every other kind. Regenerated v1.json + v1.d.ts per docs/api-conventions.md §5.
- SPA: mediaDetailPath now routes Episode items with a seasonId to
/app/media/seasons/{seasonId}#episode-{id} (matching Blazor's Search.razor:241 link), null
otherwise. MediaPosterCard accepts an id/highlighted pair; SeasonDetailScreen's episode grid
gives each card a stable `episode-{id}` anchor and scrolls/highlights it on mount and on
hashchange (deep-link support).
- Tests: GetLibraryBrowseItemsHandlerTests asserts SeasonId is populated for episode drill-in
results and null for other kinds; web tests cover mediaDetailPath's episode cases and the
anchor/scroll/highlight behavior (jsdom scrollIntoView stub).
- Docs: blazor-route-parity.md's episode-browse row and the Search cluster verdict updated —
the standalone SPA episode browse exists and episode cards now navigate, closing the
adversarial-reviewer#18 finding.

- POST /api/playlists/{id:int}/items wraps the existing AddItemsToPlaylist
command (mirrors CollectionController.AddItems); controller pre-checks
playlist existence for a real 404, and the handler now rejects adds to
system (generated) playlists, matching the guard already applied to
rename/delete/replace-items so the Blazor path gets the same protection.
- GET /api/search/all-items wraps the existing QuerySearchIndexAllItems
query, returning a new SearchResultAllItemsResponseModel (never expose
the VM directly) so the SPA's shared "add all to collection/playlist"
component can materialize ids before calling the add endpoints, same
two-step flow Blazor's Search.razor already uses.
- Show-detail DTO check: ShowDetailResponseModel already exposes
libraryId, title, and mediaSourceKind (serialized as a string enum via
the global StringEnumConverter) - no changes needed.
Adds controller tests (route table + per-action) for both endpoints and
regenerates the OpenAPI document, endpoint index, and SPA client types.
The SPA needs the item's row id to call
GET /api/playouts/items/{id}/scheduling-context. Plumbed through
PlayoutItemViewModel -> PlayoutItemResponseModel as a nullable Id
(null for synthesized UNSCHEDULED gap rows, which are PlayoutGaps,
not PlayoutItems). Additive for existing consumers (Playouts.razor
reads the VM by property). Regenerated v1.json + v1.d.ts.

Backend slice for the ChicoryTV playouts and collections screens.
PlayoutController:
- POST /api/playouts/{id}/erase-items (204; 404 pre-check; 422 unless
Block/Sequential/Scripted) -> ErasePlayoutItems
- POST /api/playouts/{id}/erase-items-and-history (204; 404; 422 unless
Classic/Block/Sequential/Scripted) -> ErasePlayoutHistory
- GET /api/playouts/items/{id}/scheduling-context (200/404) decodes a
playout item's stored context by row id via a new
GetPlayoutItemSchedulingContext query that reuses ProcessSchedulingContext
- PlayoutItemResponseModel gains HasSchedulingContext (no raw JSON in list)
- PlayoutListItemResponseModel gains PlayoutMode (ChannelNumber already present)
CollectionController:
- PUT /api/collections/{id}/custom-order (204; 404 pre-check; 422) with
UpdateCollectionCustomOrderRequest deriving CustomIndex from array order
- GetCollectionItemsHandler orders by CustomIndex (nulls last) then title/id
when the collection's UseCustomPlaybackOrder is set

GetCollectionItems custom-order handler test. Regenerated v1.json, v1.d.ts,

Add three GET endpoints to TroubleshootController for the SPA port of the
playback troubleshooting page:
- /api/troubleshoot/playback/stream-selectors (List<string>)
- /api/troubleshoot/playback/subtitles/{mediaItemId} (404 pre-check via
GetMediaItemInfo; maps SubtitleViewModel -> TroubleshootingSubtitleResponseModel)
- /api/troubleshoot/playback/status (TroubleshootingPlaybackStatusResponseModel:
idle/running/completed/failed + exitCode/speed + logs.txt tail)
Regenerate v1.json, endpoint-index.md, and the web API types.

Add write endpoints to PlaylistController for the playlist editor: group
create/rename/delete, playlist create/read/update/delete, item list read,
and draft playout preview. Introduces a RenamePlaylistGroup command/handler
(the one missing Application-layer operation) plus request/response DTOs.
Endpoints (verb / route / route-Name):
- POST /api/playlists/groups CreatePlaylistGroup
- PUT /api/playlists/groups/{id} UpdatePlaylistGroup (rename)
- DELETE /api/playlists/groups/{id} DeletePlaylistGroup
- GET /api/playlists/{id} GetPlaylistById
- GET /api/playlists/{id}/items GetPlaylistItems
- POST /api/playlists CreatePlaylistInGroup
- PUT /api/playlists/{id} UpdatePlaylist (rename + replace items)
- DELETE /api/playlists/{id} DeletePlaylist
- POST /api/playlists/preview PreviewPlaylist
404-vs-422: unknown-id on GET items / PUT / DELETE returns 404 via a
controller-side existence pre-check (mirrors TemplateController.DeleteGroup),
leaving existing shared handlers untouched; validation failures return 422.
RenamePlaylistGroup returns NotFoundError -> 404 for a missing group.
Regenerated wwwroot/openapi/v1.json, docs/endpoint-index.md, and the SPA
client types (web/src/api/generated/v1.d.ts). No SPA screen in this change.

Add REST endpoints backing the SPA media detail pages and image browser:
- GET /api/movies/{id}, /api/shows/{id}, /api/seasons/{id}, /api/artists/{id}
wrapping the existing detail queries; 404 on None.
- GET /api/media-items/{id}/info wrapping GetMediaItemInfo; UnableToLocateMediaItem
-> 404, other errors -> 422.
- GET /api/images/folders?parentId= and PUT /api/images/folders/{id}/duration
(validates null-or-positive -> 400; existence guard via new ImageFolderExists
query -> 404).
- Extend GetLibraryBrowseItems parentId drill-in to Episode (episodes of a season,
episode-number order) and MusicVideo (an artist's music videos, album/track order),
alongside the existing TelevisionSeason branch.
Response DTOs live in ErsatzTV.Core/Api/* and never expose Application VMs. Artwork
values are rooted for the SPA via a shared ErsatzTV.Core/Api/ApiArtwork helper
(mirrors the #180/#181 browse-handler logic; handles jellyfin/emby proxy prefixes,
http passthrough, empty). Regenerated OpenAPI v1.json + web v1.d.ts. New controllers
registered in ApiControllerSecurityTests.

Adds the REST surface for the #145 troubleshooting leftovers (#158 items 4-5):
- GET /api/playouts/{id}/blocks - blocks a block playout schedules
- GET /api/playouts/{id}/blocks/{blockId}/history - paged block history
- GET /api/playouts/history/{id} - decode a history row by id
- POST /api/troubleshoot/validate-schedule - validate sequential YAML
New MediatR queries GetPlayoutHistoryDetails (Either, 404 unknown row /
422 malformed JSON) and ValidateSequentialSchedule (wraps
ISequentialScheduleValidator, never throws). DecodePlayoutHistoryHandler
and the new by-id handler now share PlayoutHistoryDecoder. Regenerated
openapi/v1.json.

Adds per-playout REST for classic-playout alternate schedules and
block-playout templates, plus the default-deco read-side deferred from S3:
- GET/PUT /api/playouts/{id}/alternate-schedules (Classic only; 422 otherwise)
- GET/PUT /api/playouts/{id}/templates (Block only; 422 otherwise)
- PlayoutResponseModel gains decoId/decoName (GetPlayoutById includes Deco)
PUT assigns Index from array order (top = highest priority, last = catch-all
default), mirroring the Blazor editors. Alternate-schedule PUT requires a
non-empty list and existing ProgramScheduleIds; template PUT requires existing
TemplateIds and any supplied DecoTemplateId. Regenerates the OpenAPI spec.

Adds DecoTemplateController mirroring TemplateController: CRUD for deco
template groups, deco templates (flat list + by-id), item listing, and a
full-replace PUT for a deco template's item list.
Hardening (deviation from a literal port of the existing handlers, matching
the #144 S2 fix for ReplaceTemplateItemsHandler):
- CreateDecoTemplateHandler now validates DecoTemplateGroupId exists before
insert (previously a bad id hit the FK constraint at SaveChanges and
surfaced as a 500; now a 422).
- ReplaceDecoTemplateItemsHandler now rejects invalid items (unknown DecoId,
StartTime >= EndTime unless EndTime is the end-of-day sentinel 00:00:00,
or overlapping ranges) with a 422 instead of silently dropping/persisting
them - the same silent-drop/silent-overlap bug class already fixed for
templates.
Response DTOs serialize the raw item TimeSpans (via .TimeOfDay), so an
end-of-day item still round-trips as StartTime=22:00:00/EndTime=00:00:00
regardless of the ViewModel's day-wrapping DateTime representation.
Adds DecoController (groups + decos CRUD + full-state PUT), playlist and
artist/multi-collection search picker wrappers, a PlaylistController for the
break-content playlist cascade, and PUT /api/playouts/{id}/deco. Fixes the
CreateDecoHandler missing deco-group existence check (FK 500 -> 422), matching
the CreateBlock/CreateTemplate precedent. ReplaceDecoRequest.ToCommand rejects
Merge on the non-mergeable sections (422).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Adds TemplateController mirroring BlockController: groups CRUD, template
CRUD, item replace (PUT full-replace via ReplaceTemplateItems), and a
copy endpoint. Also wires the missing POST /api/blocks/{id}/copy since
CopyBlock's CQRS shape is directly analogous to CopyTemplate.
Fixes CreateTemplateHandler to validate the target template group exists
before insert (previously an unhandled FK violation -> 500), matching the
CreateBlockHandler fix (1e34e00e) for the same class of bug.
New DTOs in ErsatzTV.Core/Api/Scheduling; TimeSpan start times serialize
the same way as PlayoutResponseModel.DailyRebuildTime.

Adds BlockController (block groups + blocks CRUD, items GET, full replace,
non-persisting preview) mirroring ScheduleController, plus four scheduling
search picker endpoints on SearchController (collections, television shows,
television seasons, smart collections). Response DTOs in ErsatzTV.Core/Api/
Scheduling; request DTOs with ToCommand index auto-assignment.

Adds TraktController (GET/POST /api/trakt/lists, GET/PUT/DELETE by id,
POST .../match, GET /api/trakt/status) covering the API gap for SPA
parity issue #142. Add/match/delete dispatch to the same
ChannelWriter<IBackgroundServiceRequest> the classic Blazor "Trakt
Lists" page uses, gated by the existing IEntityLocker (LockTrakt/
IsTraktLocked) singleton; GET /api/trakt/status wraps IsTraktLocked as
the HTTP-observable substitute for the Blazor page's OnTraktChanged
event. URL validation mirrors AddTraktListHandler.ValidateUrl's regexes
(replicated, since that method is private to the handler and returns a
handler-private record) so an obviously-invalid URL gets a synchronous
422 before dispatch.
Adds TraktListResponseModel/PagedTraktListsResponseModel/
TraktStatusResponseModel DTOs, AddTraktListRequest/UpdateTraktListRequest,
controller tests, ApiControllerSecurityTests + OpenApiErrorResponseContractTests
coverage, and regenerates the checked-in OpenAPI document.
Backend plumbing for the SPA transcoding editors (#143 blocker):
- FFmpeg profile response DTO round-trip: add NormalizeAudio, NormalizeVideo,
PadMode, TargetLoudness, NormalizeColors, ResolutionId (keep Resolution name
for compat); DeinterlaceVideo now bool (was bool?). #nullable enable on the DTO.
- New GET /api/ffmpeg/hardware-acceleration-kinds wrapping
GetSupportedHardwareAccelerationKinds (returns enum names as strings).
- Filler preset CRUD: GET-by-id/POST/PUT/DELETE on FillerPresetController with
full request/response DTOs; new FillerPresetFullResponseModel +
GetFillerPresetByIdForApi. CreateFillerPreset now returns the new id
(CreateFillerPresetResult) to match sibling Create commands and enable a
201+Location; updated the one Blazor call site.
- Watermark CRUD: GET-by-id/POST/PUT/DELETE on WatermarkController with full
DTOs (path+contentType, all 15 fields); new WatermarkFullResponseModel +
GetWatermarkByIdForApi.
- Startup: register WatermarkLocation/WatermarkSize as OpenAPI string enums
(they live in ErsatzTV.FFmpeg.State and were documented as ints, mismatching
the Newtonsoft StringEnumConverter runtime serialization).
- Tests: full CRUD controller tests for filler + watermark; contract-test
entries (404/401/422) for the new mutating endpoints; regenerated v1.json.

Add GET /api/logs (thin wrapper over GetRecentLogEntries; paged, filtered,
clamped pageSize like LibraryBrowseController) and GET /api/troubleshoot/info
(wraps GetTroubleshootingInfo; General section serialized to the same JSON
shape the legacy Blazor Troubleshooting page renders, plus per-platform
capability dumps). Also adds [EndpointGroupName("general")] to the existing
troubleshoot playback endpoints so they surface in the OpenAPI spec (#158
item 3).
Adversarial review found the previous multi-flood design non-viable:
PlayoutModeSchedulerFlood never yields to a following Dynamic-start
schedule item, so only the first item ever played, and grouping
media items into a Collection silently dropped the requested order.
Redesign:
- Single-item lineup: one ProgramScheduleItemFlood referencing the
target directly (media item / collection / smart / multi / rerun /
playlist); no generated collection or playlist. Response PlaylistId
is null.
- Multi-item lineup (>= 2): one generated IsSystem Playlist in a
get-or-created IsSystem PlaylistGroup ("Channel Lineups"), one
PlaylistItem per entry in lineup order with PlayAll=true, referenced
by a single Flood schedule item. Rerun collections and playlists are
rejected (422) in multi lineups (PlaylistItem/CollectionKey lack the
fields to enumerate them).
Review fixes:
- Normalize + strict-validate MediaType<->CollectionType pairs once up
front (422 on mismatch / wrong id / not exactly one id).
- Reject MultiCollection with non-Shuffle order (mirrors
PlayoutModeMustBeValid), Mirror playout source, all via 422.
- OnDemand parity: queue TimeShiftOnDemandPlayout post-commit.
- De-collide generated ProgramSchedule and Playlist names against their
unique indexes instead of leaking a UNIQUE-constraint DbUpdateException.
- Generic 422 on save failure + ILogger; AnyAsync existence checks;
Either/Validation unwrap via Match; XML doc on request DTO + endpoint.
- Response model: ChannelId, PlaylistId (nullable), ProgramScheduleId,
PlayoutId (CollectionId removed). Regenerated OpenAPI v1.json + v1.d.ts.
